2018 Holiday Gift Ideas for Disney Fans

Holiday shopping season is officially here. Similar to last year, I’ve assembled a list of gift options for all of the Disney fans in your life. If that Disney fan happens to be you, you can also use this list to drop some serious hints to your friends and family. Most of the items lean toward the subtle Disney side, because that’s my preference, but all of the sites linked below have other options if you’re more in the I LOVE DISNEY! camp. Speaking of links, the ones included in this post are strictly for convenience. I do not have affiliate relationships or any financial benefit from your decision. I’m just a Disney fan trying to help other Disney fans and the friends who love them have an extra magical holiday.

So, let’s get to it! Here are my 2018 Holiday Gift Ideas for Disney fans.

Clothing

Now more than ever, Disney clothing items are everywhere! Some of the increase is due to Mickey’s 90th Birthday celebration this year. Some of it is just because Disney is incredibly popular and apparel vendors want in on the fun. That’s great news for us, because it means there are tons of options in a variety of styles and price points available. Even if your Disney fan already has plenty of clothing options, you are sure to find something new.

Here’s one example from H&M’s extensive Disney line (400+ items!). This Mickey Mouse women’s hoodie retails for $30. It’s slightly cropped, which worked perfectly for my tween, but you may want to size up for your adult friends. It’s medium weight and super soft inside. Other Mickey sweatshirt options on H&M’s website start at just $10.

Another tween/teen approved style is this more colorful Toy Story-inspired sweatshirt from BoxLunch. It’s cheerful and slightly retro in an updated cropped style at just under $40.

Or how about this Tinker Bell approved cowl neck sweatshirt from Fifth Sun for around $30? There’s a tank version too.

Smaller Disney fans would look super cute in this Minnie Mouse puffer coat from H&M.  It retails for $50, but listed at $35 at the time of this posting.

Gap offers a ton of kid-sized Disney options at the moment too, like this fun Mickey sequin sweater for around $40.

Can’t forget the men on your shopping list. Here’s a fun and subtle t-shirt option inspired by Disney’s Aladdin. It’s available at Hot Topic for about $20.

Or stick with a classic Mickey sweatshirt for men or women like this super soft one from Urban Outfitters ($50).

Bags & Accessories

Accessories are another great option for Disney fans over the holidays. Loungefly offers tons of Disney-inspired backpacks, bags, wallets and other accessories.

Here’s one example, a  Star Wars inspired cross-body bag. I tend to think the leggings, long sweater and tall boots look for women is kind of Jedi-inspired anyway. Might as well complete the outfit? It retails on Loungefly’s website for $64.

Or for the classic Mickey look, this cute faux leather wallet might just fit the bill. (Ha! Sorry!) I purchased a similar wallet from the Loungefly collection last year and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and durability of the materials. This one retails for $38.

Here’s another interesting option for any of your Nightmare Before Christmas fans. It’s a convertible Jack Skellington handbag from BoxLunch for $70. I like how the design looks like a snowflake from a distance. There’s a matching wallet available too.

This popular Dooney & Burke crossbody bag  featuring Disney Parks icons is another great option. It retails on shopDisney for around $175.

Technically still a bag, but not one you’d throw on your shoulder is this cute Duck Tales themed lunch box. It’s priced very reasonably at just $8 at JCPenney. Makes you want to sing “Duck-tales ah-wooh-wooh!”

Moving on to hats, sometime simple is better. It doesn’t get any simpler than this red Mickey signature baseball cap. It’s available at BoxLunch for under $20.

Or if you need something warmer, try this cute Mickey Mouse pom beanie from Hot Topic. It’s also under $20.

Another fun and easy option are Disney-inspired socks! Stance offers many varieties of high-quality socks, including these silly Donald Duck ones ($20).

Or you can go more subtle, but no less fun, with these five-pack no show socks for women on Amazon ($11).

Home Accessories

Not sure what to get that Star Wars fan on your list? Millenium Falcon pillow for the rescue! Yes, it’s incredibly silly, but it’s also pretty fun. Pillows fly too you know. You can find it a BoxLunch for $40.

Know somebody that needs to be reminded how Incredible they are? This desk-top clock should do the trick. Imagine how much peppier their work space will be! You can find it at BoxLunch for $15.

Or if you want to wrap up a hug with a little piece of encouragement, consider this snuggly throw blanket inspired by Disney Pixar’s Up. They can use it at home while they rest up for their next adventure. It’s available at Hot Topic for around $25.

Another home accessory option for your Disney fan is this vintage poster kitchen cannister from shopDisney ($40). There’s a vintage Mickey version too! Fill them with homemade treats for an added touch.

Books

Books are another great option for Disney lovers, especially if you know their favorite characters.

For fans of the Hundred Acre Wood, consider this stately Winnie the Pooh edition, available on Amazon for about $10. It’s a great option for new parents or grandparents or anybody who loves Winnie. You could pair it with a jar of honey or a super sweet Winnie plush to complete the effect.

If you’d rather stick with modern characters with a few nostalgic ones thrown in, consider this Disney’s Who’s Who book. I wrote a review post about it a few months ago, and I’m still a fan. Plus it’s new, so there’s less of a chance that your Disney fan already has it.

For early readers and those that love them, another good book option is Where Is Walt Disney World? by Joan Holub. This book, released in May of this year, is one of the newest additions to the popular “Who Was” series and is currently available in the Scholastic school book fairs as well as at Amazon for around $6.

Toys

Have any young or young at heart Disney fans on your list? Here are a few toy ideas too.

The first is this awesome Baymax Plush. It’s super soft and big enough (24″ x 19″) to really hug. It also lays flat as a delightful pillow. (Really, I tried it!) You can find it on shopDisney for around $30. There are a few other characters available in the same series too.

Another toy option for the aspiring princesses on your list are these cute Disney Animator play sets like the Rapunzel set shown above. There are quite a few of them available (Moana, Frozen, etc.) for around $20 at shopDisney. Each set includes at least two main characters from the movie and a mystery character to be discovered after you open the toy. I like that the play sets fold up to store all the pieces so you can keep your big and little princesses happy.

Jewelry

Mickey Mouse turned 90 years old earlier this month. The first Mickey Mouse watches were introduced about five years after he arrived on the scene, so that means people have been sporting Mickey Mouse watches for 85 years! No wonder there are so many choices!

For an updated look on a old classic, consider these fun Mickey watches by Disney available on Amazon. You can choose a red band with gold or a black band with silver. Both feature oversized faces, water resistant casing and the newer Mickey Mouse design from the current animated short series. There are larger men’s versions available too, all within the $30-40 range.

I listed Pandora charms on my list last year and I’m repeating them here because there are even more awesome options available today. For example, check out this sweet new Mary Poppins charm for $65 (on sale throughout the holidays!). Or you can check out the entire collection here.

One more fun option is this sterling silver chain link bracelet from shopDisney. It retails for $175.

Miscellaneous

I know, I probably should have stopped with the Millenium Falcon pillow, but this is too fun not to mention and slightly more practical. Know anybody in a warm climate that could use a Millenium Falcon sun shade for their car? You can find it at Hot Topic for about $15. I saw one in another vehicle as I was headed into the grocery store a few months ago and it made me smile.

I hope this list made you smile too, or at least gave a few ideas for any Disney fans on your holiday shopping list. If you’d rather give experiences rather than items, you could also consider movie tickets (Mary Poppins Returns opens in December!), show tickets (Frozen on Broadway!) or a low-key Disney movie night at home (pass the popcorn!).

It really is the thought that counts, so try to make your gifts thoughtful.
