Short and Sweet: Disney Valentine Treats
Valentine’s Day inspires me to bake. Eat too, depending on the year, but mostly bake. Last year I made Butterfinger Cupcakes similar to the ones at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This year I had equally lofty goals for my Disney Valentine treats. At least until my son asked me to make something without chocolate.
Those last few words hit my ears in slow motion. I’m pretty sure excluding chocolate from Valentine’s Day is illegal in most states, or at least STRONGLY DISCOURAGED, but I obliged. Valentine’s Day is about expressing your love and putting others first. Right?
So this post will be short and sweet, kind of like my chosen Disney Valentine treats. I made plain old sugar cookies. I also kept the designs simple by limiting myself to whatever ingredients I already had in the pantry. Sometimes simple is better. Don’t you think?
That Mickey-shaped sandwich cutter I purchased last year came in handy for a few Mickey-inspired designs. Heart shapes work too.
I also made some plain hearts and a few different kinds of houses. The houses were inspired by Disney Pixar’s Up, which is one of my favorite Disney love stories.
Like I said, short and sweet. If you’re looking for more adventurous Disney Valentine treats you can find some fun options at these links to Disney Parks Blog or Disney Family. If you try them, feel free to share your results in the comments below!
