Welcome!
Hello! My name is Jenny and I’ve been smitten with Mickey… and most things Disney, for as long as I can remember. I love his simplicity, his kindness and his longevity, but most of all I love his optimism. How can a mouse be so inspiring?
Several years ago I visited Walt Disney World for the first time as a parent. Although I was thrilled to be returning to the parks after a long break, I was also completely overwhelmed. Where should we stay? What type of tickets do we need? Do we really have to plan our activities so far in advance? Suddenly my excitement was replaced with the stress of getting everything “right.” I scoured the internet looking for advice and found so much content it only added to my anxiety.
Then we went on the trip and I fell in love with Disney all over again. The planning definitely helped, but it didn’t make the trip. Spending time in the parks with my family reminded me of so many positive pursuits that life tends to bump off our to-do lists: be creative, have fun and keep dreaming. When did I stop dreaming? Have you?
I’ve made numerous trips to Walt Disney World since then and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each one. Yes, the parks are fabulous, but the truth is you don’t have to be in the theme parks to feel the “magic.” You can find it by watching an inspiring movie, tackling a new project you didn’t think you could do or belting Part of Your World at the top of your lungs in the car.
Okay, maybe it’s just me on that last one. The point is that with a little bit of effort, I think we can add a little “magic” to our every day lives. That’s the purpose of this blog. Will you join me? Whether you need simple advice for an upcoming trip to Disney World, want ideas for fun activities or just need a smile on a particularly rough day, you’ll find it here.
I promise to keep the message simple, the content light and the tone inspiring. Thanks for visiting. Let’s add a little more “magic” to the world.
See ya real soon!
